Big Merry Hobbit Hole Clubhouse Playhouse

W e bought this house for out grandchildren. The owners were easy to deal with when ordering and at set up. We would recommend this company.

We purchased a Big Merry for our daughters in the summer of 2023. Communication with Wooden Wonders was excellent and they helped me through foundation, roofing, and flooring questions. I installed our own asphalt shingle roofing because of HOA requirements. We also installed laminate flooring. I put together the Big Merry myself over the course of about 4 weekends (foundation/base, frame, roofing, and then flooring over the 4 weekends, with painting and other details throughout). The kit was excellent and the end product is a beautiful playhouse we hope to enjoy for many years to come.

We LOVE this playhouse. Big enough to get grownups inside (albeit a bit hunched but still we can go in!) and really quality. I see is having and using this for a long long time. I thought I would be able to put it together myself as I’m very handy, but I have no real carpentry experience so I was unable to decipher the directions (the vocabulary wasn’t something I understood) but we called a friend who has tons of building knowledge and he and a partner had it unpacked and built in under 3 hours.

Our family had such a wonderful experience building and finishing our new Hobbit Hole! Every step of the instructions were clear and we were in amazement over how much work was done to make assembly as easy as possible, from labeled pieces, to precut materials, to pre-drilled holes. You have really thought of everything! We are thrilled with the finished project, and we could have never dreamed of building something like this ourselves. We are looking forward to our children having many years of enjoyment of the Hobbit Hole!

I highly recommend the Hobbit House kit. It's a beautiful, well crafted kit made from excellent materials. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. It arrived with all parts precisely marked. It took about two days to construct. I was impressed with the craftsmanship used in this kit. A curved structure is complex yet it went together precisely. The attention to detail made this kit a joy to assemble and beautiful when finished. This Hobbit House is the hit of the neighborhood.

We bought this for our preschool and could not be happier. It is not only the cutest thing in the world but it went together amazingly. We had purchased a home depot shed that had a similar construction but this went together soooo much easier. Everything fit and lines up perfect. It took us 2 half days (just my husband and I). We could have totally done it in a long day. Still need to paint. It's definitely sturdy and will last a long time even in the Portland rain.

We have ordered our playhouse on Thursday evening and it was delivered by Sunday afternoon - we got very lucky :-) my husband and I build it in 5hrs plus put on the roof the following weekend. It's very sturdy, made form excellent quality wood and comes with very clear instructions for building, with tons of pictures. One thing to keep in mind that you may want to put in some furniture during building because the doorway is small, but proportional, and we put it double papasan chair from Pier 1 and it wouldn't fit through the door once the house was build. I wish we could attach pictures to the review as we are quite proud of the final product. Thank you!!!

I bought the Big Merry for my granddaughter (7 years old) who is a hobbit fan and has read The Hobbit with her mother. The kit came on time, was straightforward to assemble, and beautifully crafted. My granddaughter was over the moon with excitement as it took shape. She loved choosing her door color, and "supervised the men" during construction. Almost every car that passes slows down for a good look, and the neighborhood children are most impressed. We are in the interior decorating and garden phase now. This will be a joy for many years to come.
